Anika Jamieson-Cook

My name is Anika, I am currently studying a BA drawing at Camberwell school of art which is part of the London University of the Arts. When I was at secondary I didn't get on well, always getting distracted, frustrated and sometimes into a lot of trouble which I was later to find out was all because of me being dyslexic. I found out officially that I was dyslexic 2 years ago and since then my confidence and awareness in my writing has improved greatly. I get a lot of help and support at university and with all written work my dyslexia is taken into account. The achieve ability project has given me the chance to talk about my development and meet others who have had similar experiences.
