“Clumsy and Lazy” were labels I was commonly given at school – I failed to achieve any notable qualifications and was asked to leave at 15. In the decade that followed I jumped from one type of employment to the next and felt the consequences of my negative outlook and low self-confidence. Whilst studying on an Access Course to Social Science I was diagnosed as dyslexic and dyspraxic. With perseverance, a change in outlook and the right support I am currently in my final year of a Sociology and Criminology Degree at Westminster University.
